The Gosport Community Association have three Function Rooms that are available to hire throughout the year. We have our spacious Ballroom which comes with 2 well equiped bars (If required) & catering provided by Yellow Rose Caterers. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 300 people and we have ample car parking.

Our Theatre comes with a bar and can accommodate up to 150 in a basic party setting. The Theatre can also be hired to put on stage shows. Hirers can 'Self-Cater' in this room

The Cullen Suite (Formally known as the Georgian Suite), can hold up to 70 people in a basic party setting leaving plently of room for a DJ & dance floor area. This room also comes with a spacious bar. Hirers can 'Self-Cater' in this room

Frequent visitors to the Gosport Community Association express complete surprise at the size, quality and range of rooms and the large amount of activities contained within the centre. The Community Centre is fortunate in having a number of multi-purpose rooms, several of which can host Conferences, Meetings, Debates, Business Meetings, Privates Parties and Social Events.

The Ballroom is the Town's Civic Hall used for the installation of the Mayor, Civic Banquets, very large scale Dinner Dances and Conferences etc, whilst the Theatre is the focal point for Drama, Variety and other similar activities within the town. With ample parking and situated on a major bus route, the Association's facilities are well within reach of all residents of Gosport, to whom a very warm welcome is extended.

The Thorngate Ballroom

The much sought after Thorngate Ballroom offering a superb cuisine and fully licensed bars is the ideal venue for a formal dinner dance, wedding, private party & concerts, etc.

Accommdating up to 250 in a formal setting, the number increases to 300 for an informal dance or 350 in concert style. The well equipped and capacious stage can accommodate the largest of dance bands or disco's whilst the refurbished sprung floor is without doubt, the finest in the area.

The Thorngate Theatre

In the delightful Thorngate Theatre, Gosport has an asset beyond measure. Licensed to seat 238 in concert style, the Theatre is equipped to fulfil the most demanding Theatrical Company in their productions of Drama, Comedy or Musical Performances.

Complete with full stage lighting, orchestra pit, dressing rooms and cavernous stage.

The Theatre can be complimented by a licensed bar as requisite, the Theatre will comfortably hold up to 150 persons for most types of Private Function.

The Cullen Suite - (Formally The Georgian Suite)

This attractive room was previously used as the Members Lounge Bar until 1990 and had been converted to allow it to be used in conjunction with the Music Room. Their combined use will make a good venue for small Reception, Parties or Social Evenings, accommodating up to 70 people. We are able to allow the Hirer to Self-Cater for Parties such as Birthdays, Weddings etc, (Subject to certain conditions being met). This Suite overlooks the beautiful garden where access can be gained by prior arrangement.
