Centre Information
Room Hire
The Centre houses a wide range of rooms suitable to meet the needs of any organisation. Special rates are offered for Sponsered and Affiliated Organisations of the Association. The Thorngate Halls which is part of this complex offers a very popular venue for private social functions and parties. Hiring rates and associated expenses can be obtained from the centre reception or by phoning (023) 9251 0012.
Thorngate Wines/Corkage
A price list for wines and corkage is available from the reception. For further assistance, please contact the Bar Coordinator - Mrs. Sarah Walsh on (023) 9251 2126.
Catering
Yellow Rose Catering have gained an excellent reputation for the high quality of its cuisine, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff and service and the ability to cater for any number of people.
A comprehensive range of menus is available to tailor to individual requirements. Whatever your function, our caterers will be able to meet your requirements.

In addition to our offical contract caterers, Bury House Catering Services are the Associations own voluntary Catering Organisation who provide services in Bury House Cafe. Offering excellent hot & cold food, quality hot beverages and soft drinks. Why not pop in and sample the menu?
Bury House Catering are also capable of catering for small functions and club activities at very reasonable prices!
Skittles & Kurling
The Association is the ideal venue for a Skittle and Kurling Match. We offer excellent facilities with licensed bar & catering. Full details can be obtained from the reception.
Bereavement Service
We are able to provide a discreet service to the bereaved by providing accommodation and catering facilities in one of our many rooms at the centre. Details are available from the reception.
Adult Education Classes
Gosport Community Association offers a varied and interesting Futher Education Programme - Details from reception.
GCA Handbook
Our Handbook is normally issued every September, December & April. It is a 'User's Guide' to the facilities and regular user groups of the centre. Copies of this Handbook are free and can be obtained from Reception, Members Lounge Bar or Foyer Areas.
Box Office
For functions taking place at the centre, a limited Box Office Facility is available during the period that the Reception is open. A fee of 10% gross takings to cover administration costs maybe charged for this service.
Photocopying/Printing & Fax Service
The Association offers Photocopying/Print and Fax Services. Details available from Reception.
Noticeboards
Notices for display on the centre noticeboards can be submitted to the Receptionist for approval by the Chief Executive Officer. The Association make no charge for this service which is subject to availability of space and therefore cannot guarantee display of any material. Any unapproved items displayed on the noticeboards will be removed.
Personal Property/Lost Property
The Association cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property or damage to personal belongings whilst on the premises. All lost property found on the premises should be handed to the Site Supervisor who will log the item in the 'Lost Property Book'. Enquiries regarding lost property should be made with the Site Supervisor. The Association reserve the right to dispose of unclaimed items as necessary.
Disabled Toilets & Ramp
Disabled Facilities are located in the Ballroom Foyer and at the rear of the building outside the Privett Suite. A mobile ramp can be positioned in the Ballroom (On Request) to give disabled access from the raised area to the Dance Floor.
Baby Changing Facilities
These are located in the Bury House Ladies Toilets and Ballroom Disabled Facilities.
Payphones
A payphone is located in the Theatre Foyer.
Dogs
No Dogs (Apart from Guide Dogs for the disabled) shall be allowed on the Association's premises except at the discretion of the Management Committee.
Car Parking
Parking in the Association's Car Park is free to Members who have brought & are displaying an annual pass (This can be purchased for £6.00 from the Reception). Non-Members should refer to the 'Pay & Display' Notices. All parking is at the 'Vehicle Owners Risk'. No responsibility is taken for injury, loss or damage arising from using the Car Park.
Fire Alarms
Fire Evacuation Procedures are displayed in prominent positions around the Centre. Users of the premises should make themselves aware of this information. All clubs & Groups must keep a register of Members attending their meetings for accountability purposes in the event of an evecuation.
First Aid
First Aid Boxes are located in the Site Supervisors Office, Bars, Kitchens & Main Reception. In case of serious injury, please call the Emergency Services (999) from the payphone located in the Theatre Foyer. The Appointed First Aider is Charlie Hawkes (Site Services Supervisor).
Visitors
All visitors 'On Business' should report to the Centre reception on arrival at the Community Centre, such visitors are asked to 'Sign In and 'Sign Out' in the Visitors Book.
Annual Open Evening
The GCA Annual Open Evening is held on the first Wednesday Evening of September in the Ballroom at 7pm
The next Open Evening is Wednesday 1st September 2010.
