GROUPS COME TOGETHER TO HELP COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
Gosport Community Association are pleased to announce that Elson Junior School are the latest local Organisation to come to their aid to help raise much needed funds for the “Roof “ Appeal.
A special fundraising event entitled “Celebration of Christmas” was held on the 14th December at 2.30 p.m. in the Thorngate Ballroom and as part of the Christmas Programme audiences were entertained by 70 youngsters who make up the Elson Junior School Choir.
It was great to have their support - the youth of today holds the key to the future of the Association. It is so heartening to know that the people of Gosport do care about the Centre and its survival and certainly reassuring that local youngsters want to help. We are very grateful to the School for their assistance.
In addition to the School Choir the afternoon of entertainment included the Gosport and District Organs Club, Gosport Silver Band and members of the Thorngate Pantomime and Variety Company. The event was hosted by Geoff O’Neill.
The event raised approximately £600.00 for the Building Fund.
